Sidney 5, Oxford 2
SIDNEY - Sidney spoiled Oxford hurler Cam Heggie’s pitching gem edging the Blackhawks Monday afternoon.
Heggie logged a complete game striking out 10, walking none, and scattering nine hits against the powerful Sidney batting lineup.. Brandon Bessett had two hits and two RBI for Sidney, Billy Kozak scored two runs and drove in another, and Trey Crawford’s single in the fifth made it a 5-1 Sidney lead.
“Cam pitched a phenomenal game for us, and we missed some balls in the outfield that probably should have been caught,” said Oxford coach Chris Palmer.
