Connor Matthews set the tone for Windsor in the night’s opening match edging the Tornado’s Carter Hubbard, 5-4, at 113 pounds. Norwich strung together four victories in a row between 132 and 152 pounds. Tristan Rifanburg (132) won by pin, while Nick Murphy (138), Josh Myers (145), and Frank Garcia (152) all won major decisions. Dalen Geislinger added a pin at 99 pounds, and was dominant on his feet, said NHS coach Joe Downey.

“Windsor is a real tough team, and they always seem to wrestle us tough,” Downey said. “Dalen had a great match for us, and it was the most aggressive I have seen him. Nick is having a really good year and has stepped up for us, and it was nice to get Josh Myers back.”
