Norwich 92, Sherburne-Earlville 75

NORWICH – Norwich raised its meet record to 3-0 on the season defeating Sherburne-Earlville Wednesday in a non-league matchup.

Norwich swept the top three spots in two events and had five personal-best swims on the evening, said head coach Kevin Diefenbacher. “We’re swimming faster right now than we did at the end of last year, and we’ve picked up the momentum that we gained from sectionals last winter,” Diefenbacher said. “We have almost everyone back from last year, and they’re getting better and better.”

Norwich set the tone with wins in three of the first four events. Gregory Todd won the 200 freestyle in 1:59.96, Killian Benedict captured the 50 free, and the Tornado opened with a win in the 200 medley relay.
