Hospice Lights Up A Winter Night Thursday
Published: December 4th, 2012

NORWICH – Hospice & Palliative Care of Chenango County will hold its annual “Light up A Life” Tree-Lighting Ceremony Thursday at 7 p.m. in the lobby of NBT’s main branch in downtown Norwich. “Our tree is very special because it’s decorated with memorial ornaments bearing the names of loved ones who’ve passed away,” says Donna Wood-Craig, the agency’s Development Coordinator. “The holidays can be a tough time when you’re grieving, however, this ceremony was designed to honor the lives of loved ones whose light will never dim in the hearts of their loved ones.”

The event will include remarks from hospice staff as well as heartfelt comments from Hospice families. “We’re also pleased to once again welcome Mary Mayo and the Norwich High School Madrigal Choir who’ll create a beautiful mood.” All residents of Chenango County are invited to spend an hour with Hospice staff, board, volunteers, and family members. Social time and refreshments will conclude the event.

If you did not receive an ornament order form in the mail you can go the Hospice website at www.hospicechenango.org download the pdf and send it in with a check or your credit card number. Ornaments will also be on sale before and after the tree lighting. For more information contact Hospice at 334-3556.
