NORWICH – Four individuals appeared in Chenango County Court Friday, one sentenced to nine months in the Chenango County Correctional Facility while the other three pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against them.

• Mark D. Carr, 50, Pennsylvania, was sentenced to nine months in the Chenango County Correctional Facility after he admitted to a willful violation of the terms or conditions of his probation.

Carr was placed on probation in September of 2010, ordered not to consume or possess any alcohol, marijuana or controlled substances. In August of 2012, the court-ordered ignition interlock system – installed in a vehicle operated by Carr as part of his original sentence – registered Carr with a blood alcohol content of .069 of 1 percent, also identifying him while he consumed a beverage – believed to be alcoholic – on the ignition interlock’s viewing screen.

Carr first claimed the alcohol in his system was a result of his using mouthwash, although he later admitted to consuming alcohol. Carr’s probation was revoked and he was subsequently sentenced to nine months in the correctional facility.

• Tanya M. Osman, 24, Greene, pleaded not guilty to charges of aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child in the vehicle; driving while ability impaired by drugs; reckless endangerment; and endangering the welfare of a child.
