Chenango Forks 5, Norwich 0

NORWICH – Playing its 10th game in the last 2 1/2 weeks, Norwich took the field Wednesday on tired legs, and Chenango Forks capitalized early on building a 3-0 halftime lead.

Tanner Giordano scored at the eight- and 21-minute marks lifting the Blue Devils to a two-goal lead. “We were a little tired and on rubbery legs,” said Norwich coach Steve Prime. “We had a couple little letdowns or lost a man on defense, and they were able to score.”

Norwich plays at Chenango Valley on Friday. Earlier this season, the Tornado beat CV for their first STAC league win in five seasons.
