NORWICH – The Chenango County District Attorney’s Office has issued a warrant for the arrest of a Norwich man shot by sheriff’s deputies following a stand-off in Pitcher that involved a group of innocent bystanders and the man’s nine-year-old son.

Patrick W. Ford II, 42, remains in serious condition following surgery at the Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse. He was shot in the upper torso after repeatedly firing a Glock 40. caliber pistol – which authorities say he reloaded at least twice during the incident – at sheriff’s deputies and a New York State Police officer, as well as a number of innocents, who were uninjured on Aug. 30.
