Smithy Presents Nora Ephron Play In Cooperstown
Published: August 24th, 2012

COOPERSTOWN – Smithy Center for the Arts’ Glimmer Globe Theatre is pleased to present its production of “Love, Loss, & What I Wore” at Cooperstown Theatre Festival on Friday, Aug. 24 and Saturday, Aug. 25 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 25 and Sunday, Aug. 26 at 3 p.m.

This marks the Smithy’s fourth theatrical production of the season. Based on the book by Ilene Beckerman, the play is written by the late, great Nora Ephron and her sister, Delia Ephron and has been running off-Broadway in Manhattan to outstanding reviews from critics and audiences alike for several years. The story focuses on a large array of characters, all played by five women, as they recount stories of their lives that are both hilarious and, at times, heartbreaking through the lens of their wardrobes. Although this is a play about women, men enjoy it equally because of its universal relevance and humor.
