Jeffery Broussard & the Creole Cowboys at EOH Saturday

EARLVILLE – Jeffery Broussard & the Creole Cowboys bring their red-hot Zydeco to the Earlville Opera House on Saturday at 8 p.m. Zydeco is the plugged-in, hard-kicking dance hall music of African American Southwest Louisiana with its accompanying dance craze extending from Rhode Island to San Francisco. It has almost become a household word in the U.S. Jeffery Broussard & the Creole Cowboys is generously sponsored by Seven Oaks Clubhouse and Restaurant.

Jeffrey Broussard’s intense and original accordion playing with Zydeco Force is considered by many to be the torch that lit the flame of “Nouveau Zydeco” in the early 1990’s, inspiring the likes of Keith Frank and Chris Ardoin to invent the now-dominant contemporary zydeco dance grooves.
