GUILFORD – Bruce Scott helped produce a new book for the Guilford Historical Society. In recognition of the sesquicentennial of the events of the Civil War and to record the history of Guilford, the Guilford Historical Society was allowed to use his work to produce the book. GHS member Bruce Scott, has spent hours researching and recording the men who had a connection to Guilford. They may have been born in Guilford, died in Guilford, enlisted there, or moved in and out of Guilford and buried there. There are over 250 men found in the book with over 300 pages of historical and genealogical information about each of them. The soldier’s regiment and company are provided as well as the information of where they lived before and after the war. If married their wife’s name is given and the children names. In most cases, an obituary is included and sometimes there may even be a photo of the man.
