Christine Lavin and Don White at 6OTS: “A Funny, Funny 2-fer” of comedy and song

OXFORD – Saturday, Feb. 18, at 7:30 p.m., 6 On The Square (6OTS) is proud to present two of the funniest entertainers on today’s music scene, Christine Lavin and Don White. She is a major force in folk/pop music. He is a droll comic master of song-anecdotes. Together, Lavin and White are a “funny, funny 2-fer” of comedy and song! As is the tradition, fans and followers of Christine can come to knit before the show, but that’s optional.

Christine Lavin's smart and funny songs nail our lives and foibles on the head! As a songwriter, she brings shrewd insight, evocative detail, and laser-keen wit to what she sees around her. Christine combines hilarious stories of people, events, near disasters and minor miracles that have defined her life, and music. Her list of credits and accomplishments are as long as your arm.

Christine is an award winning singer/songwriter/guitarist/recording artist. Her singing style has been compared to the Indigo Girls, Sarah McLachlin, and Tom Lehrer. She has been a major force in the contemporary music world for over two decades with 30 albums to her credit, 20 of them solo. Her latest is Cold Pizza For Breakfast. Christine has appeared on ABC’s Good Morning America, NBC’s The Today Show, and was featured on CBS’s Sunday Morning, CNN, and NPR’s Weekend Edition. She’s won multiple music awards including five ASCAP Composer Awards and the NYC Singer/Songwriter of 2001 (Backstage Magazine).
