CORTLAND – The Norwich YMCA Dolphins completed the Central New York Districts swim meet on Sunday, and proved to be a tough competitor all around. The highlight of the day was the feat accomplished by Saige Benedict, 10, who finished first in each of her individual events. She helped the 200-yard freestyle relay team finish on top, and factored in the 9-10 girls placing first overall among eight teams present.

Other Dolphins teams ended high in the ranks as well. Finishing second overall were the 11-12 girls and the 15 -and-over girls, while the 13-14 boys earned a(3) finish.

Dolphin swimmers who have met qualifying times during the season will report to Buffalo , in March to compete against more than 40 other YMCA swim teams in the state meet.
