GREENE – UV’s Justin Hofer made one free throw at the end of regulation to force overtime with Greene, and it was the Storm who controlled the four-minute extra period to defeat the Trojans Thursday evening.

Brett Smith drove the length of the court for a layup to give UV the early lead in OT, and David Anderson went 3-for-4 from the foul line to help secure the victory.

Ryan Borst scored all six of Greene’s points in extra period finishing with 16 points. “We had some good looks in overtime, but our misses and some turnovers cost us,” said Greene coach Rick Smith. “They packed it in with their zone all game and made us shoot from the outside. We just didn’t finish as much.”
