Girl Scouts celebrate with Mother/Daughter Tea

NORWICH – The NYPENN Girl Scout Council hosted its first Mother/Daughter Tea Party and Fashion Show Saturday at the United Church of Christ in Norwich.

Mothers and daughters modeled Girl Scout uniforms from the 1940s to the present that were on loan to the council from their service center in Johnson City before serving tea and snacks to the approximately 30 who attended.

“All of the girls had a great time and we had a relatively good turnout for our first year,” said Karen Banks-Lindner, service unit chairperson and leader for Troop 30378. “We certainly plan on doing this again next year.”
