NORWICH – Sunday marks the 39th anniversary of the Supreme Court ruling of Roe v. Wade – a landmark ruling the extended a woman’s right to have an abortion. In protest to this ruling, the Knights of Columbus Council 211 in Norwich are sponsoring a bus trip to the nation’s capital for the annual March for Life along the National Mall Monday morning.

This march is a long-standing tradition for pro-life activists nationwide and one that the KOC is honored to take part in every year, said Jim Reynolds, Norwich Knights of Columbus Grand Knight.

Nearly 300,000 are drawn to the event, combining their efforts to uphold the belief that human life should be preserved by the society as a whole. “A bulk of it is youth, which is tremendous ... It’s a tremendous event that’s so important,” Reynolds said. “Everyone needs to be aware of it.”
