Oneonta 52, Norwich 33

ONEONTA – Norwich fell flat at Oneonta in its bid for a tenth straight dual meet win on Tuesday.

The Yellowjackets earned victories in the first six matchups – five by pin or forfeit – to race to a 34-0 lead. “It didn’t look like we came out ready to wrestle, and they came out ready to go,” said Norwich coach Joe Downey. “We knew it would be a tough match, but not 52-33. Everything that could go wrong, did go wrong.”

Norwich standout Tristan Rifanburg (126) gave Norwich its first win of the evening setting the stage for five wins in six matches. The Tornado’s Cody Bradbury (170) was winning his match as well, but suffered an injury and had to default to the ‘Jackets’ Francis Thomas.
