Greene 48, Afton 40

AFTON – Jeff Carlin had 22 points and nine assists for the Trojans, and Carlin’s three baskets late in the fourth quarter put Tuesday’s win over Afton in the books.

Carlin hit four three-pointers in the first half leading his club to a 26-15 lead. The Trojans’ Sam Adams, was also a key on the defensive end holding Afton’s leading scorer, Cameron Oswald, to just 13 points in the game.

“They had the momentum, but we were able to get some stops in the fourth quarter and turn it back in our favor,” said Greene coach Rick Smith. “Afton is not a bad team at all.”
