OXFORD – Wyoming Seminary was a runaway winner at the Clyde Cole Wrestling Tournament a season ago. The Oxford Rotary-sponsored tournament begins its 49th incarnation tonight, with Wyoming Seminary leading the 15-team field. For the first time in recent memory, all six Chenango County wrestling teams will appear in the second longest running wrestling tournament in Section IV.

Perhaps the showcase weight class is 160 pounds. Nationally-ranked Eric Morris of Wyoming Seminary earned the top seed over number two seed Connor Sutton of LaSalle Institute. Sutton was the 2011 New York State Division I champion at 140 pounds.

Below are top-four seeds by weight class. Oxford head coach, Craig Tefft, said some weight classes did not have enough wrestlers that met seeding criteria.

Top four seeds in order of seed

99: Joe Nelson, Oxford, (only seeded wrestler).
