OXFORD – On a cold, blustery Saturday, Oct. 22 fall afternoon at Emerson Soccer Field in Oxford, roughly 400 people attended the annual Chenango Cup Soccer Tournament.

In an emotional quadruple-overtime title game, the Unadilla Valley U12 team capped an amazing season beating Oxford 1-0. The victory avenged a loss to Oxford from earlier this season, UV’s sole defeat.

Scoring for UV was forward River McCumiskey (UV’s leading scorer) with an assist coming from Jessica Smith, who had five goals in the tournament.
