NORWICH – Prof. Cynthia Riedi’s Psych 101 class will be hosting a Halloween bash on Friday as a fundraiser for St. Bart’s soup kitchen in Norwich. The event will begin at 4:30 p.m. at SUNY Morrisville’s Norwich Campus.

The event will center around the showing of two Halloween themed films, Hocus Pocus and The Nightmare Before Christmas, both rated PG, and are meant to be entertaining “for the whole family.” There will also be a costume contest with prizes for best costume in various age groups and everyone is encouraged to dress up.

A bake sale, raffle, and bottle drive will also take place and will constitute a majority of the proceeds to be donated to St. Bart’s soup kitchen. Cost of admission for the event will be $2, clothing items or a bag of bottles and cans.

The Halloween bash will be hosted by six of the students from this semester’s Psych 101 class who have spent the first weeks of the semester creating the idea and will be supervised by Riedi.

For more information about the Halloween bash, contact Cindy Riedi at riedicc@morrisville.edu or call SUNY Morrisville’s Norwich campus at 334-5144.
