Greene 3, Afton 0
GREENE – Greene’s unblemished mark reached 9-0 Tuesday against longtime rival Afton as Jahna Driscoll scored a pair of goals for the Trojans.
Driscoll was set up each time by junior Emily Conroe, and Conroe made it three assists when she fed Cathy Stahl. Stahl took a pass on the right side of the penalty circle, dribbled once, and blasted the ball in.
Afton’s goalie, Haley Tammadge, made 12 saves, and kept her team close, said Greene coach, Sue Carlin. “We had some really good opportunities, especially in the first half,” Carlin said. “(Tammadge) made some great saves, but we were getting off quality shots.”
