Windsor 2, Norwich 0

NORWICH – Windsor’s Spencer Nagel won a race to the ball in the right corner of the 18-yard box, and knocked in the opening goal for Windsor in Monday night’s shutout win over Norwich.

Nagel tallied at the 20-minute mark, and teammate Nick Nikula scored on a scramble in front of the Norwich net with seven minutes remaining in the opening 40 minutes.

Norwich finished with five shots, and most of its offense was produced over the first 30 minutes of the second half. “We were a little slow in the first half, and not quite into the game yet,” said Norwich coach Steve Prime. “The second half was a different story, and we were in their half of the field quite a bit. We played about 50 minutes of good soccer, but not being able to score is tough.”

Norwich plays Greene on Friday in the Oxford tournament.
