Chenango Valley 1, Norwich 0

NORWICH – Chenango Valley capitalized on a rebounded shot that Norwich failed to clear, and tallied the game’s lone goal with 22 minutes remaining in the second half Thursday evening.

After Norwich goalie Julian Gillner made the initial save, a pass from Alex Auchinachie to the right side of the goal was directed in by Shane Robinson. “That was really our only defensive lapse, other than that, it was a good game for us,” said Norwich coach Steve Prime. “At the end, we were knocking on the door, and couldn’t get it in the net.”

Gillner made nine saves in the loss.
