Hot Club of Cowtown at EOH Saturday

EARLVILLE – Words such as “fierce” and “explosive” describe the acoustic-powered western swing and gypsy jazz of Hot Club of Cowtown appearing on the historic stage of the Earlville Opera House this Saturday, July 9 at 8 p.m. The performance of Hot Club of Cowtown is generously sponsored by Seven Oaks Clubhouse Restaurant and by media sponsor WAER FM.

The Austin-based trio mixes the western swing of Bob Wills with the hot jazz of Django Reinhardt into something downright combustible. This combo brings a youthful spirit to the traditional music of a bygone era with violinist-singer Elana James, singer-guitarist Whit Smith and upright bassist Jake Erwin. The band is back to help the Earlville Opera House celebrate it’s 40th anniversary with some of our favorite artists … they last played the EOH in 2009 greatly expanding their regional fan base!
