NORWICH – Members of Chenango County Health Department recently presented the Maternity Department of UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital with a Certificate of Excellence. The certificate recognizes the department for its 100% compliance with requirements under public health law mandating testing, reporting and recording of hepatitis B virus (HBV) status for all pregnant women and a minimum 90% birthdose rate of HBV vaccine given to all newborns.
