SHERBURNE – A costly error led to five fifth-inning runs for Canastota, who beat Sherburne-Earlville on Tuesday.

The Marauders committed just two errors in the game, and the second one came in the fifth with two outs. After that, Canastota plated five runs to extend its lead to 11-5. Rich Mitchell’s double scored two runs in the inning.

“The kids played really well, the one error just cost us,” said S-E coach Brian Hicks.
