Greene 7, Deposit 0

GREENE – Greene remained unbeaten and unscored on through three games blanking Deposit Wednesday afternoon.

The Trojans scored three runs in each of the first three innings to support winning pitcher Rebecca Hanrahan. Hanrahan had a two-out triple in the opening inning to score Taylor Ellis, and the junior pitcher finished 3-for-4. Caitlin Willis and Brittany Youngs each had 2-for-4 days with a run scoresd apiece.

Hanrahan struck out eight, did not walk a batter, and allowed one hit in the opening inning. “We’re hitting the ball better early in games better than we have the last couple of years,” said Greene coach Rick Smith. “The offense and defense are jelling pretty well right now.”
