Sheriff, DSS Charged Three With Felony Welfare Fraud

GUILFORD – Chenango County authorities have accused a Guilford couple of stealing $14,596.33 in unemployment benefits.

Elizabeth and Peter Thek were arrested for stealing the money following an investigation by the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Social Services Fraud Investigation Unit.
