GREENE – Greene avenaged a 24-point loss to Delhi last month winning its Midstate Athletic Conference crossover game Wednesday night.

Trailing the Bulldogs by seven points with 2 1/2 minutes to play, the Trojans (6-6, 9-8) embarked on a 10-0 run, and Dan Treadwell’s three-pointer broke a tie game and gave Greene its first lead of the second half.

“The biggest difference between this time and last time as that we did a better job stopping their penetration and we rebounded better,” said Greene coach Rick Smith. “We contested well and we pressured the ball more. Our bench also game through for us.”

Sam Adams had six points in the last quarter for Greene finishing with 17 points to go with nine rebounds. Treadwell scored 10 points including a pair of three-pointers.

Greene plays at Oxford next Thursday.
