COOPERSTOWN – Sherburne-Earlville, playing against one of the top Center State Conference teams this year, rolled to an impressive road victory Tuesday night. The Marauders won their fifth straight game while handing the Redskins just their second loss of the season. S-E also remained unbeaten in division play.

“Everything seems to be clicking right now,” said S-E coach Karen Mulligan. “We’re playing well offensively and defensively.”

S-E guards Caitlynn Adams, Briana Vibbard, and Bridget Irwin shut down Cooperstown’s guard-oriented offense jumping out to a 13-3 lead at the first turn, and a 25-15 advantage at the break. “We wanted to control their guards, and we played just halfcourt man. We did a good job containing them,” Mulligan said. “We talked at halftime about having a big third quarter. Bridget had eight in the third quarter and Cait had six. That allowed us to take control.”
