NORWICH – Graduates or soon-to-be graduates of the Norwich High School who need financial aid to help them continue their higher education studies may apply for scholarships available through the Greater Norwich Foundation. Money is also available to help current high school students who are taking college-level or other accredited courses before completing high school.
Scholarships administered by the Foundation include the Clara Robbins Memorial Scholarship, the Marcia Stewart Memorial Scholarship, the Karen Brown Memorial Scholarship, the Edward J. Lee Law Scholarship, and some additional unspecified grant money. The Robbins Scholarship gives preference to applicants pursuing careers in medicine, nursing or the legal field. The Stewart Scholarship has no career limitations. The Karen Brown Scholarship gives preference to applicants pursuing a teaching career. The Lee Law Scholarship applicants must have received their bachelors degree and been or presently accepted in attending law school to qualify. The other grant money is primarily available to help current high school students to take college-level or other accredited courses while still in high school.
