NORWICH – Chenango County Board of Supervisors Chairman Richard B. Decker, R-N. Norwich, made standing committee and subcommittee appointments for 2011.
The Public Works Committee, the largest of the county’s seven standing committees with eight members as opposed to six, saw the most flux for the coming year.
City of Norwich Supervisor Linda E. Natoli, a Republican, will no longer serve as chairperson nor a member of Public Works. City of Norwich’s James J. McNeil, a Democrat, and Smyrna Supervisor James Bays, also a Democrat, were also removed from the committee. Public Works will instead be directed by John Phelan, R–Coventry. Jerry Kreiner, R–Plymouth, was appointed a new member.
