NORWICH – Norwich grabbed its sixth dual meet victory of the season rolling over rival Oneonta Tuesday night.

John Marvin (125) followed with an impressive pin, Tanner Cummigns ended his 130-pound match by technical fall, and Matt Thompson (135) outlasted Oneonta’s Tanner Loos, 16-10. Adding his first win of the season was Anthony Vitiello, who picked up a pinfall at 171 pounds.

“We had some big wins, and it was nice to see Cameron Yaiser, Matt Thompson, and John Marvin wrestle well,” said Norwich coach Joe Downey. “They were aggressive and had nice matches.”

Kegan Levesque (215) avenged a loss from last year’s sectional tournament pinning Oneonta’s Fred Thomas in 1:02.

Norwich wrestles Unadilla Valley at home on Thursday with prelims starting at 6 p.m. Before the dual meet, the Tornado’s eight senior wrestlers will be recognized.
