New children’s clothing store offers affordable choices for parents

NORWICH – Children have always played an important role in the life of Lilly Bean owner Sara Behrmann who – partnered with daughter Jennifer – officially opened for business Nov. 1.

Prior to opening the second-hand children’s clothing store, Behrmann said she and her husband had provided foster care for several years, run a day care center and are now excited to have the opportunity to provide low-income and young parents a place to purchase decently priced, affordable clothing for their children.

“We were struggling with the name for a while and, between the two of us, it took a few months,” admitted Behrmann. “We wanted something great, something catchy, and Lilly Bean just seemed to fit. We both fell in love with it immediately.”
