NORWICH The Norwich High School Student Government held a special recognition assembly Friday that focused on a number of positive activities taking place at the school, according to Advisor Joe Maiurano.
A departure from similar assemblies in the past, which concentrated primarily on athletics, the Student Government recognized organizations, individuals, clubs, programs and academic pursuits making a positive impact at the school.
One of the initiatives of the Student Government this year was to really focus on the positive, said Norwich High School Assistant Principal Scott Ryan. I think that anytime you recognize the positive rather than the negative, you create an atmosphere geared toward success.
