Norwich Pharmaceuticals donates to FIRST Robotics Team

Norwich Pharmaceuticals donated $5,000 to the Chenango County FIRST Robotics Program Tuesday. Team Mentor Dave Sheldon said the money would go to supporting the program and pay the team’s entry fee to the area’s regional competition being held at the Rochester Institute of Technology in March. The FIRST Robotics Competition challenges teams of young people and their mentors to solve a common problem in a six-week timeframe using a standard kit of parts and a common set of rules. The program is aimed at engaging 9-12 grade high school students in learning about technology, group problem solving and engineering.
