At the Center State Conference Championships Saturday, Sherburne-Earlville’s boys placed third overall with three league all-stars, and Sofeia Eddy was earned an all-star nod for the Marauders’ girls, who were 11th out of 18 schools.

Noah Huff placed third in the 96-runner field finishing in 17:46 to lead S-E. Dan Palmiter placed eighth in 18:41, and Dakota Nelson was tenth in 18:49. All three top-10 runners picked up the all-star nods. “The boys’ team defeated the winners of divisions one and three within the season, and today as well,” said S-E coach Anne Geary. “We are in division two, so that shows the league strength in our division. This boys squad is the best representation for S-E since I took over as coach in 1997.”

Jeff Verry was 30th in 20:09, and Ryan Palmiter was two spots back timing 20:19.
