“Remember In November” Rally This Weekend

NORWICH – With the General Election just a month away, the Norwich Tea Party Patriots is holding a “Remember in November” Rally this Saturday, Oct. 2 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the East Side Park in downtown Norwich.

Gilda Ward of Mt. Upton, who is a coordinator of the group, said, “The theme of the rally is to get out the vote in the General Election on November 2nd. This is one of the most crucial elections in our lifetime. It is so important that everyone gets educated about the candidates so that they can make the best choices on Election Day.”

Featured speakers include Jay Townsend, candidate for U.S. Senate running against Charles Schumer and Richard Hanna, candidate for U.S. 24th. Congressional District running against Congressman Michael Arcuri. Both candidates will be available before and after their speech to meet and talk with voters. Other speakers include Ray Chaney, pastor and Tea Party activist, Max Tollens, businessman, Pastor R. Kipp, plus other inspiring speakers.

Information on the upcoming elections and candidates will be available.Voter registration forms will also be available, since it is still not too late to register to vote.

There will be music, refreshments, and patriotism. Everyone is encouraged to attend, Ward said. Signs, flags, and chairs are welcome.
