Cyclones Win Two Games On The Road

CAMDEN – The Norwich Cyclones “A” team downed the Camden Blue Devils 25-7 in Camden Saturday night, part of two road wins for Norwich last weekend in Pop Warner play.

The A team scored quickly on a 55-yard sprint to paydirt by Killian Benedict 45 seconds into the game on the game’s second play. John Marvin Jr. added a 15-yard TD jaunt and Matt Craig galloped for 56 yards to score for an 18-0 Cyclones halftime lead. The Cyclones rushed for 231 yards on 20 carries in the first half alone.

Tristan Rifanburg scored on a 28-yard scamper in the third, with Benedict adding the point-after to end Norwich’s scoring.

The stiff Cyclones defense was led by Craig, Rifanburg, and Marvin, with Spencer Stone, Nick Murphy, Alec Weaver, Carlos Ithier, Everett Thompson, Dan Zieno and Dakota Nelson, as well as the entire Blue and Gold defensive units., who played big “D.”

The Cyclones’ “C” team remained undefeated topping Camden, 29-7.
