Norwich Tea Party Rally This Saturday
Published: August 5th, 2010

NORWICH – The Norwich Tea Party Patriots will be holding an important rally on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the East Side Park near the gazebo in downtown Norwich. This is right across State Route 12 from the Chenango County Courthouse.

The theme for Saturday’s rally is “Remember in November: America Speaks”. Gilda Ward from Mt. Upton, spokesperson for the group explained: “This November will be one of the most important elections in our lifetime, I believe. There are over 30 offices coming up for vote. This is historic, since we have not had this many offices coming up for re-election since the 1930s. This will be the chance for Americans to have their say. Those elected representatives who have failed to listen to their constituents need to be voted out of office. We need to begin now by checking out the candidates and choosing wisely on Primary Day, Sept. 14. and Election Day on Nov. 2. We will have voter registration forms at our rally for those who need to register.”

Featured speakers for the rally include a representative of Tikanii, Emergency Preparedness Company, who will bring a large display of emergency preparedness items and will give an expert presentation on how to be prepared for any type of emergency. James Trainor, who is an allied attorney for the Alliance Defense Fund, will also be speaking at the early part of the rally.
