Oxford 13, Edmeston 3

OXFORD – Oxford scored all of its runs in the first two innings – on just four hits – to keep its Otsenango Pony League playoff hopes alive.

For the second straight game, Richard Ryan finished with a pair of hits. Ryan had a double and two RBI to pace Oxford. Cameron Heggie and Joe Nelson, Oxford’s one and two hitters, reached base safely a combined six times scoring two runs apiece. Andrew Golden picked up the victory, and Justin Schray pitched in relief as the two hurlers held Edmeston to four hits.

Oxford can clinch second place – and a playoff spot – with a victory over Greene on Monday.
