Errors costly for Norwich

Susquehanna Valley 10, Norwich 6

CONKLIN – Norwich hurt itself in the field committing 10 errors, and was dispatched at Susquehanna Valley on Wednesday.

Seven of the errors occurred in the opening three innings allowing the Sabers to build a 6-0 lead. Norwich scored five in the fourth to draw within one run before SV answered with two more runs. “II was happy with the way we fought back in the game, but we continue to hurt ourselves in the field,” said Norwich coach John Martinson.

Josh Borfitz had three hits and two runs scored for Norwich. Nick McCullough added an RBI and a run scoring.

Preston Patak, Josh Figura, and Josh Swanger had two hits apiece for SV.

Otselic Valley 28, George Jr. Republic 5

SOUTH OTSELIC – Trevor Marston went seven innings for the win, and OV socred at least two runs in every inning to blow out George Jr. Republic in a non-league game Wednesday.

Chuck Bishop had two hits including a double and drove in a team-high four runs for the Vikings. Chase Marston and Trevor Marston also had two hits.
