Brendan Kinne led off the sixth with a triple, and scored when Alex Kenyon reached on an error. Jeff Carlin’s RBI single scored Kenyon with the winner.

“The first time out, we played really well, and our pitching was great,” said Greene coach Dave Gorton.

Nic Puglisi pitched four innings for Greene and struck out eight, and Matt Jones came on for the three scoreless innings striking out four for his first varsity win. Jones allowed Oxford to load the bases in the fifth with no outs, but struck out the next two batters and induced a ground out to end the threat.

Carlin went 2-for-4 and Nate Patrick had two hits and one ribbie for Greene.
