Vintage Christmas collection on display at Chenango Museum

NORWICH – The Chenango County Historical Society is hosting a display of vintage Christmas lights and other holiday items this season. The collection will be available for viewing until the New Year, and resides in the Case Room, located on the first floor of the Chenango Museum.

“These are items which I’ve collected over a 30-year span,” said Warren Nash, owner of the Christmas collection and board member for the Historical Society. “What you see here represents about 10 percent of my entire collection.”

Nash said he’s amazed at the discoveries he has made through the years, whether searching through local flea markets or cleaning out houses and attics, barns and other buildings. He especially focuses on old advertisements, boxes, lights and other equally vivid, colorful items.
