SOUTH OTSELIC – Otselic Valley turned the momentum of the game with an 11-0 run to start the second half, and outscored the Raiders 19-3 in the third quarter to erase a 10-point halftime deficit.

Dusty Davis scored seven of his 10 points in the third stanza, and drained a three ball with two seconds left in the quarter after a kickout pass from Chris Neal to lift his team to a 39-33 lead.

“We won this game by playing hard and busting our tails in the second half,” said OV coach Dave Loomis. “We got after them a little bit more in the second half defensively, and were able to switch the momentum our way.”

Jon Scofield used his size advantage to put in eight points in the first quarter and lead G-MU to a 21-10 lead. From that point on, the Raiders had difficulty replicating the offensive rhythm that got them off to a fast start. “We had really good ball movement in the first quarter and were able to get into a good flow on offense,” said G-MU coach Bill Hartman. “We started to tire in the second half and did a lot of standing and watching the dribbler.”

Davis finished with 10 points and 14 rebounds, while Karl Graham added 10 points and five steals to the OV cause.
