AFTON (AP) – Afton Central Schools 1998 graduate Matthew Cooke was among those injured in last week’s shooting at Fort Hood, Texas.
The 30-year-old Cooke was shot several times in the stomach, but is expected to make a full recovery. Cooke returned from his second tour of duty in Iraq in April, and was transferred to Fort Hood in August.
