Cyclones ‘A team' clinches Tri-Valley division title

NORWICH – The Cyclones “A” team won the Tri-Valley League Eastern Division Championship Sunday at Alumni Field with a convincing 37-7 win over the undefeated Utica Proctor Bulldogs.

The Cyclones’ line dominated play on both sides of the ball holding the speedy Bulldogs to three first downs and a kick-off return for their only touchdown.  The Norwich offense controlled the game and the clock with its running game.

The Cyclones opened the scoring with a safety in the first quarter.  Michael Sutton scored on a four-yard run in the second, and had a 15-yard TD pass to John Marvin for a 16-7 halftime lead.

Michael Oralls chewed up the Bulldogs’ defense and had two third-quarter TD runs of four and five yards. Trent Stone add a 20-yard touchdown in the fourth.
