COPES CORNERS – G-MU finally shook Edmeston, and it took sudden-victory overtime to do it.

Joe Acanfora cut back to the middle from the left wing, and split two Edmeston defenders scoring the winner two minutes into the extra period.

The Raiders never trailed in the game, but saw Edmeston answer every tally.

“The good is that we played a really good half and we were first to the ball,” said G-MU coach Mark Luettger. “The bad is that we tired in the second half, and gave up goals we probably shouldn’t have. I’ll definitely take the win.”

Kevin Davis, Jon Scofield, and Alex Huxley all scored for G-MU, Scofield’s coming on a cornerkick from DeMario Reed in the second half.

The Raiders host Morris Tuesday.
