NORWICH – Coming to center stage in this year’s annual Chenango Couny Fair is ‘Guitars Under the Stars’ featuring the talented of trio of renowned country artists, Jeff Bates, Mark Wills and Trent Wilmon.
The Honky Tonk Tailgate Party, headed up by Wills, will be at Chenango County Fairgrounds Aug. 12. Wills has invited Willmon to return and is thrilled to add Bates to the show.
“I am so excited to get back on the road and start performing with my buds again. The Honky Tonk Tailgate Party really is a party on stage and I just enjoy sharing it with some good guys. I was happy when Trent agreed to come back on the road and then to add in Jeff Bates makes it ever cooler,” explained Wills.
“Not only do we have a great lineup of artists, but we have the most talented musicians in our band to back us up,” said Willmon.
Millennium Entertainment, the Chenango County Fair, Big Kat Country 95.3 FM, and Buddy Lee Attractions are organizing the concert.
Advanced tickets will be $10 for the month of July while supplies last. As of Aug. 1, admission will be $15 up until the day of the show, explained Millennium Entertainment’s Terry Potter.

Following the overwhelming success of last year’s tailgate party, Buddy Lee Attractions is excited to be the exclusive agent for 2009 tour. “Last year’s shows were a great success because the fans were thrilled to hear and see multiple country artists on one stage. In these challenging economic times, where everyone is looking for value for their entertainment dollar, this show really delivers a wonderful night of country music,” Buddy Lee Attractions Media Agent Jon Folk.
The ninety-minute party is a fast paced show with one band and no set changes. Wills, Willmon and Bates will each play their most popular hits and close the show by performing a memorable ensemble finale together.
