Park Place, a Norwich-centered, family restaurant

NORWICH – A new restaurant has opened its doors in Norwich, and if this endeavor is anything like the last started by the same owners, it will be here for some time to come.

Chic and Dave Cirello, owners of Fred’s Inn, opened a new restaurant, Park Place, last week. Chic, who has 32 years of experience at Fred’s Inn, and Dave, who has more than 20, explained that after walking through the site of the former East Park Supper Club, they decided opening another eatery at the location would be a good investment.

“It’s the kind of restaurant that is not here in town,” said Chic. Unlike Fred’s Inn, Park Place is a more causal, family-style restaurant. “All of our entrees are $14.99 and under,” Dave said, explaining that the restaurant offers smoothies, a children’s menu and sundaes.

While the restaurant will cater to families and children, there will also be something for adults. The lounge area will open in approximately a month when the establishment’s liquor license has been received.
